Since 1917, Lions have served the world's population through hard work and commitment to make a difference in the lives of people everywhere. With 1.4 million members serving in more than 44,800 clubs in 188 countries and geographical areas, Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization. Lions are recognized worldwide for their service to the blind and visually impaired.In Brockport there are two active clubs; the Lions Club of Brockport and the SUNY Brockport Lions Club. Both are very active in local community service.

Brockport Lions Club

The Brockport Lions Club meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at the Braockport Area Vets Club for a dinner meeting starting at 6:30 PM. SUNY Brockport Lions Club

The SUNY Brockport Lions Club was begun by Dr. Lauren Lieberman, an associate professor of physical education, in the spring of 2000. The club was designed to help raise money for Camp Abilities, a summer camp for blind children that is held at Brockport every summer. The SUNY Brockport chapter of the Lions Club meets every other Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the Student Lounge in Tuttle North.
