DOT Meeting Re: 2022 Liftbridge Project

STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO HOLD OPEN HOUSE INFORMATION MEETINGS IN ALBION AND BROCKPORT NEXT MONTH FOR UPCOMING ERIE CANAL LIFT BRIDGE PROJECT

Public Meetings set for Wednesday, October 16, in Brockport, Monroe County, and Thursday, October 17, in Albion, Orleans County

The New York State Department of Transportation today announced two upcoming public information sessions next month in Brockport, Monroe County, and Albion, Orleans County, about the proposed rehabilitation of two lift bridges carrying Route 19 over the Erie Canal in the village of Brockport and Route 98 over the canal in the village of Albion.

The first meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the A.D. Oliver Middle School auditorium, located at 40 Allen Street in Brockport.

The second meeting will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019, between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the Hoag Library, located at 134 South Main Street in Albion.

NYSDOT staff will be on hand to share project information at each of the open-house-style meetings, receive public comments and answer individual questions.

Those interested in attending may arrive at any time during the scheduled meetings to review project details, including the scope of work and planned traffic detours during construction, which is slated to begin in 2022. No formal presentation will be made.
