The Village’s Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) contract with Constellation expired at the end of August. Upon expiration of the CCA contract, participating residents will automatically return to National Grid for their electricity supply. The letter you received from National Grid alerting you to this change was confusing and unnecessarily alarmist. You will continue to have an electricity service and National Grid is responsible for obtaining meter readings.

In advance of the CCA contract expiration the Village tried twice to get comparable or better pricing to continue the CCA offering. Through this process we learned that currently, the best prices for electricity supply available to us are from National Grid. Although this is currently true, we will try again later this year to see if changing market conditions allow us to contract again for a beneficial CCA offering in the future.

Please do not be concerned. We’ll post updates on our website, Facebook page and Village app.
