Corbett Park on the Erie Canal, Brockport’s largest, celebrates a makeover on Friday October 28th with a ribbon cutting at 3:30pm. Through the help of Department of Environmental Conservation
grants awarded in 2021, dead ash trees were replaced with tupelos, tulip trees, London Plane trees and pink horse chestnuts. A successful 4th application for a New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation grant and a MVP Health Care grant brought a National Fitness Campaign fitness court, and the NYS grant also supported ADA compliant paths through the park, repaved parking lots and newly resurfaced tennis, pickleball and basketball courts. Join the Village Board, Village Hall staff, DPW, Parks Committee and Walk/Bike Brockport to celebrate the “new” Corbett Park.
