ZBA Public Hearing
The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) will hold a public hearing on December 1, 2016 at 7pm. Please read the full legal notice here.
Monika Andrews Award
Nominations are being accepted for the Monika W. Andrews Creative Volunteer Leadership Award. Nominations are due by noon on December 30, 2016.

Street Closure for Holiday Parade
Please be advised that Route 19/Main Street will be closed from West Avenue to Sagawa Park on December 4th. The parade will take place between 5 and 7 pm. Read the full street closure notice here.
Fireworks Test
The Stetson Club will be testing fireworks on November 10th at 7 pm between the Main Street and Smith Street bridges, on the north side of the canal. This testing is in preparation for the holiday parade. Read the full notice here.

Special Village Board Mtg
A special meeting of the Village Board will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at 3 pm. This will be a brief meeting to authorize a small grant application due Nov 3rd. Read the full notice here.
Leaf Collection
The Department of Public Works began its curbside fall leaf collection this week.
Please rake leaves to the curb and leave them on the lawn area between the street and sidewalk, do not put leaves in the street or gutter as it hinders the drainage system resulting in flooding during rainfall events. As well as being against the village code 45-18. If you want to or need to bag your leaves, only put leaves in biodegradable bags. We will not pick up leaves left at the curb in plastic bags. Do not mix sticks or stones in with the leaves as they will plug and damage our equipment used to pickup your leaves.
Leaf collection will continue as needed through December 9th or until the first heavy snow.
Street Paving 10/25 -10/26
Tuesday, October 25 and Wednesday, October 26, the Department of Public Works will be paving the following streets, weather permitting:

Oxford
Evelyn
Merchant
the municipal parking lot of 1 Clinton Street

Temporary Clerical Positions
Two part-time clerical positions are available from late October to late December 2016.
Monday - Friday
15-20 hours per week
$11 / hour
Deadline: noon on Thursday, 10/20/16

Holiday Light Parade Entry
The Brockport Holiday Light Spectacular Parade, sponsored by the Stetson Club, will be held Sunday, December 4th at 5 pm.
Entry deadline is November 26th. Applications available here.
Special Village Board Mtg 10/6
The Village Board will hold a special meeting on Thursday, 10/6/16 at 3 pm to discuss possible temporary clerical hiring to cover for a specified duration in the Department of Public Works and the Department of Building/Code Enforcement.
Paving Park Ave. 10/4
The Department of Public Works will be paving Park Ave. on Tuesday, October 4th.
South Ave Park Installation
On Saturday October 1st the Village of Brockport will install playground equipment at the the South Avenue Park. Come join us! 8 am start until finished (expected mid afternoon), lunch provided to volunteers.
